Lee Seung Gi adalah seorang aktor dan penyanyi asal Korea Selatan. Ia dikenal sejak merilis lagu hits berjudul Because You’re My Woman.

Karier

Perjalanan karir Lee Seung Gi dimulai saat ia berusia 17 tahun dengan melakukan debut sebagai penyanyi. Lagunya Because You’re My Girl (2004) menjadi populer dan membuatnya menjadi terkenal.

Ia meluncurkan beberapa album The Dream of a Moth (2004), Crazy For U (2006), Story of Separation (2007), Shadow (2009), Tonight (2011) dan And (2015).

Ia juga memenangkan banyak penghargaan seperti salah satunya Korea’s Representative Best Singer of Asia Award di ajang Asia Song Festival ke-8 2011.

Tahun 2005, ia pertama kali menjalani debut di dunia akting dengan bermain dalam drama Nonstop. Ia mendapatkan peran pertamanya untuk serial drama Brilliant Legacy (2009) bersama dengan aktris Han Hyo Joo.

Lewat perannya dalam drama ini ia mendapatkan penghargaan People’s Choice Award di ajang Seoul International Drama Awards 2010.

Selama kurun waktu 5 tahun berakting, ia lebih banyak bermain dalam serial drama. Beberapa diantaranya adalah My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho (2010), The Kinf of 2 Hearts (2012), Gu Family Book (2013) dan You’re All Surrounded  (2014).

DI tahun 2015, ia membuat debut perdananya di layar lebar lewat film bergenre komedi romantis Love Forecast.

Usai menjalani wajib militer selama 20 bulan, ia kembali ke dunia hiburan dengan bermain dalam serial drama A Korean Odyssey dan juga film The Princess and the Matchmaker (2018).

Memilih untuk menekuni dunia akting dan belum ingin kembali ke dunia musik, ia memlih bermain dalam serial Vagabond (2019) dan Busted (2019).

Baru di 17 Desember 2020, ia akhirnya meluncurkan album terbarunya yang diberi judul The Project yang berisi lagu andalan I Will.

Album The Project ini menjadi album pertama setelah album And rilis 5 tahun lalu. Alasan Lee baru mengeluarkan album sekarang adalah karena ia harus mengatasi kegelisahan dan kekhawatiran selama proses persiapan.

Bukan hanya album baru, ia juga kembali dengan serial bergenre thriller Mouse. Dalam serial yang pertama tayang 3 Maret 2021 ini, ia bermain dengan aktor senior Lee Hee Jun serta aktris Park Joo Hyun dan Kyun Soo Jin.

Pada tahun 2022, ia kembali menjadi pemeran utama dalam drama The Law Cafe. Penampilannya ini berhasil membuatnya meraih berbagai penghargaan.
